DUKUN (Witch Doctor) (Malaysian)
The Story:
Based on the true story of the murder of a Malaysian politician, Datuk Mazlan Idis, by Mona Fandy, a once mildly popular Malaysian singer in 1993. In a case that had the nation riveted and human rights organizations the world over up in arms due to the death sentence handed out to the accused, comes a tale about the lure of riches, power, eternal youth, beauty and the blood one must spill to achieve this. It was believed that Mona Fandey had uttered the words "aku takkan mati" ("I will never die") with her infamous grin just before her execution.
The plot is loosely based on the true events above. In the film, the murderer and main character is Diana Dahlan, (Umie Aida). The victim was Datuk Jefri (Adlin Aman Ramlie). and narrated by Diana's lawyer, Karim,(Faizal Hussein)
