Seventh Moon
The Story:
According to a Chinese myth, the dead are free to roam among the living every seventh full moon. Yul (Tim Chiou) and Melissa (Amy Smart) are newlyweds enjoying their honeymoon trip in China during the Hungry Ghost Festival.
After a day in town, they set out for a long drive through the countryside with their guide who ends up stranding them outside a tiny, seemingly abandoned town after nightfall. As the moon rises, the couple realize that the noises they keep hearing out in the field aren’t animals and that the superstitions connected to the festival might not be folklore after all.
Soon it becomes apparent they’re being used as bait for the undead in order to keep them from killing the townspeople and Yul and Melissa must fight to stay alive until dawn comes and the demons return to their caves.
