SWEET KARMA

SWEET KARMA

The Story:
There's an underground sex trade in Toronto that few people know about. It's a modern day world of slavery controlled by organized crime that under its thin veil of beauty and seduction is rife with drugs and extreme violence. It's a world few would deliberately choose to enter, let alone a shy, beautiful 21 year-old girl from Russia like Karma Balint (Shera Bechard). But unlike the others that inhabit this sleazy world, Karma has one thing and one thing only on her mind. Revenge.

You see Karma's sister, Anna, has gone missing. She had arrived in Canada with the intention of working as a housecleaner, but was unknowingly recruited into the sex trade. Once there, she was held prisoner and forced to commit indecent acts against her will. After trying many times to escape, her captors had had enough, and Anna "ceased to exist". When the news got back to Karma that her sister's body has been found, she made it her mission to see that everyone involved in her sister's death pay dearly for their crimes.

Karma starts her undertaking with Galina, the woman in Russia responsible for deceitfully recruiting girls. Under the guise of wanting to work in Canada, Karma pays Galina a visit. There she obtains three things: a ticket to Toronto, a photo of the men who run the operation, and her first taste of revenge.

Prowling Toronto's shady side, an unarmed Karma uses whatever is at hand to remove these blights of humanity from the world one by one. During her mission she endures what no young woman should endure while being hunted by both the police and the criminals. But thanks to her survival skills, and the help of an unusual ally, Karma manages not only to get revenge, but uncovers the real truth about her sister's disappearance. It's a shocking revelation, which leads to a conclusion that will forever change the life of the once sweet Karma.
