The Story:
Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman), a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

The Story:

It's the tale of magician Prospera (Helen Mirren)and her daughter Miranda (Felicity Jones), cast away on an island as a result of her brother Antonio (Chris Cooper) plotting to depose her as rightful Duchess of Milan.

Also populating the island are the spirit Ariel (Ben Whishaw) who serves Prospera, and Caliban (Djimon Hounsou), the deformed monster who lost favor with Prospera when he attempted to rape Miranda. A shipwreck brings Antonio's fellow conspirator, King Alonso of Naples (David Strathairn), Alonso's brother Sebastian (Alan Cumming) and son Ferdinand (Reeve Carney), and Alonso's advisor, Gonzalo (Tom Conti), all of whom are separated by Prospera's vengeful spell. Comic relief also arrives in the form of two drunkards, Stephano (Alfred Molina) and Trinculo (Russell Brand), whom Caliban incites to raise a rebellion against Prospera.

The Story:
