The Story:
Exploring the remarkable rise of Massachusetts-born lightweight title winner "Irish" Micky Ward (Mark Wahlberg). A determined pugilist whose career in the ring was shepherded by his loyal half-brother, Dicky (Christian Bale) a hard-living boxer-turned-trainer whose own career in the ring was nearly sent down for the count due to drugs and crime -- perennial underdog Irish Micky rebounded from a disheartening series of defeats to win both the WBU Intercontinental Lightweight title and the WBU Light Welterweight title thanks to a fierce combination of determination and hard work.

THE EXPERIMENT

The Story:

A remake of Oliver Hirschbiegel’s 2001 film Das Experiment based on the infamous Stanford Prison Experiment , 26 men are chosen to act the roles of guards and prisoners in a psychological study. Values are tested and lines are crossed when seemingly normal participants are pushed to the breaking point as the experiment spirals out of control.

Travis (Adrien Brody), a pacifist who just recently lost his job working at a retirement home. His girlfriend, Bay (Maggie Grace), is traveling to India for some good will work, giving Travis more of an incentive to find money fast on top of paying the rent. When a vague newspaper ad offers $10,000 to be part of a two-week research study, Travis leaps at the opportunity.

He's not alone in this. A timid, devout Catholic named Barris (Forest Whitaker) still lives with his mother and is taking part in this experiment to help pay for her recent hospital treatments. They and the other participants arrive at a prison furnished just for them and are given strict guidelines about how the experiment will work. Split into two groups, prisoners and wardens, they're warned that any failure to follow rules and keep order will result in termination of the whole project, and no one will receive their wages. As they spend more and more time in their location, the volunteers begin to slip into their roles a little too convincingly.

The Story:

Every day, rising Santa Fe District Attorney Paul Chaney and his wife, Diane (Diane Kruger), wait for word that there’s a donor for their daughter, Chloe. Diagnosed with a rare degenerative condition, Chloe is on a long list to receive a double lung transplant. As her health worsens, Paul (Dermot Mulroney) becomes desperate to save his young child, so desperate that he’ll risk everything to organize an operation. When Paul learns of a Dr. Novarro who performs illegal transplants in Juarez, Mexico, he heads south in a frantic search for the only man who may be able to save Chloe.

But after arriving, he realizes Dr. Novarro’s medical ring runs deeper into a criminal underworld than he realized and people are not who they seem to be. With his career, family and his daughter’s life on the line, Paul finds himself at a critical crossroads, left to decide what is really “right” in this world.

The Story:
Milton (Nicolas Cage), a hardened felon who has broken out of hell for one last chance at redemption. The Story:
In a British city, four men have a secret plan. Omar (Riz Ahmed) is disillusioned about the treatment of muslims around the world and is determined to become a soldier. This is the most exciting idea Waj (Kayvan Novak) has ever heard. Better still it's a no brainer because Omar does his thinking for him. Opposed to Omar and everyone else on earth is the white islamic convert Barry (Nigel Lindsay). He'd realize he joined the cell to channel his nihilism - if he had half the self knowledge of a duck. Faisal (Adeel Akhtar) is the odd man out. He can make a bomb - but he can't blow himself up just now coz his sick dad has "started eating newspaper". Instead he's training crows to fly bombs through windows. This is what Omar has to deal with. They must strike a decisive blow on their own turf but can any of them strike a match without punching himself in the face?
